Three Retention Ponds Built in Block N Park Cipayung

The excavation process has just started November 16 and is targeted to be completed next week

As many as three retention ponds have started to be built in Blok N Park, Kavling DKI, Jalan Mahoni, RW 08, Cipayung Urban Village, Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta.

In addition to prevent flooding, it is projected to maintain the availability of ground water in dry season.

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga said, those ponds were made on a 1,700-square-meter land.

"To realize it, we use the National Economic Recovery (PEN) fund managed by Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency," he expressed, when he monitored the location, Wednesday (11/17).

Besides that, similar project was also planned in four locations. They were in the courtyard of Cipayung Sub-district Office and Flamboyan Park, Cilangkap.

"As for two other locations, we're still looking for the one that best meets the priority scale," he explained.

In the meantime, Retention Pond Project Executor, Stevanus uttered, the three retention ponds were built in the size of 3.2x13.5 meters; 6.8x10.5 meters; and 2.4x5.25 square meters.

"The excavation process has just started November 16 and is targeted to be completed next week," he stated.
